Apparently, I was hasty in my recent post in believing that the Blog Azeroth Shared Topics were gone. For those who don’t know, patrons of the site post ideas for the community to write about and they end up shared both on that forum and also several other blogs around the net. It’s a good way to connect with the community, get some exposure, and find new ideas to write about. This weeks topic is “What vows would your character say, intend, or break, and to what allegiance? Would it be to class/race/specialization, deity, or ruler? This is quite a challenging Blog Azeroth topic, however, I know you are all up to it because you are amazing writers.” Matty at wowsugar.blogspot.com posted the original article here. Since I have a number of characters, it was a tough choice to even start, but I decided to go for my hunter that I’ve been playing a lot recently. His oath, unfortunately, is nothing as noble as one might associate with the word…
Glory
“Above all else, I will seek Glory. No price is too great to pay. No risk too much to make. No life too previous to take… for my Glory. I will break Alliances with pleasure and, given the chance, hordes will fall at my bow. I will storm through countless monsters, villains…and heroes, for Glory.”
My hunter throws himself against the tireless forces that threaten Azeroth, against the enemies of the horde, even against the Warchief himself, but never for honor, duty, or peace. He seeks to become the best, that no one ever was. To prove himself most powerful, most deadly, most feared. This has driven him throughout each continent of Azeroth, to Outlands to face the Burning Legion and to Pandaria to see what Glory may be found. He has blazed through countless dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds to seek vindication. To prove himself, but only to himself. He fights for no other, but he will always fight. He will never tire and he never misses.
I love it!! He sounds like the very opposite of a huntard…perhaps in fact, a real hunter???
He would definitely volunteer to be in the most dangerous game.
