A Beginners Guide to Raid: Shadow Legends

Raid: Shadow Legends is a gacha game for mobile and PC. It has champion collection; dungeon grinding for gear and stats; a campaign with a “story”; daily quests; long term missions; clans with bosses, quests, and clan vs clan; and player versus player in two forms of arena. And if you’re reading this article, then you’ve probably just downloaded the game and maybe you want to to know how to navigate the games many systems as effectively as possible. This article will give you a variety of starting do’s and don’ts regarding resources such as champions, energy, and shards as well as general account goals. If you don’t read any further – don’t use any resources that you don’t specifically know you should be using. Outside resources and a TL;DR at the end of the post.

How to Complete Fusion Events

Fusion events are functionally similar to the fragment events that we did a guide on before. Essentially, there is a specific legendary champion that can be summoned if you collect enough rewards from most all of the events and tournaments for a couple of weeks. Unlike the fragment events, fusion events have you collecting rare champions from the events instead of fragments.

In this guide, we’ll break down the differences between the two types, give you a path to guaranteed success in fusing your legendary champion, and show you how to see if you’re ready to attempt the resource intensive event. As with the previous guide, this is mostly for players who aren’t already experienced in completing these types of events or who just want a more efficient way of looking at them. Tl;dr at the very end.

When to Revive?

While this advice will apply to any Battle Royal game with a revive feature, my current perspective is mostly Call of Duty: Warzone. The video in this post poses a question, “Would you leave your boy behind?”. In the comments, nearly every person thinks orange was in the wrong for not reviving, with only one or two disagreeing. The video shows the player crawling for almost a minute in near objective safety, not being chased and with no enemy sound near. So, while most think this example is cut and dry, not every situation is as easy to determine. In this post, we’ll discuss a little about when to go for the res, when to fight, and when to run.

New Player Mastery Guide

So, I’ve been dabbling in Raid: Shadow Legends for a couple of months now. I’m free to play with the exception of a few dollars of google balance that was available to me because of the Google Rewards survey app. As a result, gems, energy, and silver are very limited. Early on, I made quite a few mistakes with how I chose to spend those resources. In this post, I’ll give a very simple overview of how to approach champion masteries. Should you use gems to unlock? Should you use energy on the minotaur boss? Read on to find out.

Last Weekend of Shadowlands Prep

Shadowlands Loading

I’ve been slacking a bit. Both in writing this article and also doing the things that will be contained in it. I intended to write this (and start doing the things) several days ago. I was to be the “last week of prep” and not last weekend, but, here we are. This isn’t necessarily a guide for everyone, because we all have different things left to do, but it could give you some ideas to tackle before launch.
